Ana Say Yes is an integrated launch campaign we created for Nativox, a new method that helps ESL (English as a Second Language) students speak more naturally—available on iPhone, Android, and web. To launch it in Spain, we started a public petition asking Ana Botella, the former Mayor of Madrid, to become Nativox’s new spokesperson. Why? Just ask any Spaniard.
In her now-infamous English-language speech pitching Madrid to the Olympic Committee, Ana delivered one of the most legendary ESL moments in Spanish pop culture. Her thick accent turned the speech into a viral sensation, especially the line that echoed across the country for months: “A relaxing cup of café con leche…”
Naturally, Nativox felt like the perfect tool to help Ana sharpen her English skills. So we sent her the petition—delivered as a handwritten letter inside a custom glass bottle, a playful nod to her last name (Botella means bottle in Spanish). We produced the film above, capturing the bottle’s creation while a voiceover cheekily revisits Ana’s speech and invites her to lead by example as Nativox’s first spokesperson. Because if she can improve her English, there’s hope for all of us Spaniards—known for struggling with the language of Shakespeare. 
I led the creative direction—developing the core idea, writing all text deliverables, directing the main film, and guiding a team of art directors, developers, and producers through execution across multiple platforms.

Since Nativox is based in San Francisco, the bottle had to journey all the way from the Golden Gate to Madrid. Crossing the Atlantic is no small feat—so we asked the internet to help push the bottle forward via Twitter. Along the way, it was intercepted by a toothless Chinese sailor, three aliens near the Bermuda Triangle, a pirate flanked by twin mermaids, an apocalyptic storm, and two wandering hippie musicians. Each time, the bottle could only be freed by tweeting custom hashtags to @ana_sayyes, turning the campaign into a crowdsourced odyssey across the high seas of social media.
ANA SAY YES | MERCHANDISING
During the campaign, anyone who purchased the Nativox app was treated to a “relaxing cup of café con leche” at a well-known café in historic downtown Madrid. The drinks were served in custom cups featuring the Ana Say Yes logo, and we encouraged people to share photos of themselves sipping in style using the hashtag #anasayyes on Instagram.
